SIGNS OF LIFE APPEAL

The Prophet Isaiah reminds us that when God speaks, God’s words do what they say. So when God speaks of joy and peace, of life in such abundance that creation itself celebrates (Isaiah 55), you can bet those words will become reality.
It’s a reality we bear witness to every day.
Signs of life are everywhere at Farmington Lutheran Church.
God is at work in and through you, the people of Farmington Lutheran.
Together with the Holy Spirit, FLC is sharing God’s story of abundant life with neighbors near and far.
It’s the best story there is, and you’re invited to hear it and help tell it! Read on to learn how.

LIVELY NUMBERS IN YOUR CHURCH

  • 35 baptisms happened at FLC in the last year.

  • 48 Ninth Graders affirmed their baptisms this spring.

BEYOND THE NUMBERS

Signs of life are everywhere at FLC.
On Sundays and Wednesdays, hundreds of people gather to connect with God and each other. Young voices are abundant in worship, representing the future of the church. People of all ages help lead: reading Scripture, serving communion, welcoming visitors, passing offering baskets, and preparing treats to share. Intergenerational relationships are happening, community is gathering, life-giving friendships are blooming, music is made, meals are shared, and a sense of mission abounds.

This spring, you are invited to join with one another in witnessing to and supporting these signs of life through our Signs of Life Appeal.

A (LITERAL) SIGN... the LED kind!

After a year of research, FLC Properties Team has a proposal for a brand new LED sign at FLC’s south entrance. Existing signage needs updating, and doesn’t reflect the life or energy of Farmington Lutheran.

A digital sign will highlight our location, display customizable messages, and point to all the signs of life in this place.

The total cost of the sign is estimated to be $54,000. The Signs of Life Appeal will raise the first $24,000 of that total. Trusting in God’s abundance, and in gratitude for existing seed gifts, we are optimistic about placing this literal sign of life in late summer of 2025.

Just as the angels told the shepherds, “And this will be a sign to you” (Luke 2:12), we trust this project will be a sign to our neighbors that points to the presence of Christ, and God’s amazing love, in this community.

GOAL: $60,000* (WITH A GENEROUS CATCH!)

Inspired by the signs of life around us and trusting in God’s faithfulness, our Signs of Life Appeal goal is to raise $60,000 to sustain ministry, tell the story of God’s amazing love, and serve our neighbors. However. (And this is really fun news!)

A member of our community – as a testament to God’s abundance and the signs of life at Farmington Lutheran – has made a generous donation to support the work of this church, starting with $30,000 for a lead gift for the Signs of Life Appeal.

We are (already) halfway to our $60,000 goal!

*
The Signs of Life Appeal challenge is to match this $30,000 with another $30,000, bringing us to our goal of $60,000…or even beyond!

The Signs of Life Appeal will fortify our ministry & operations for the year, and fund the start of the new digital sign project.
